Overview

VIRE Consulting provides a broad range of support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA) since 2013. More specifically, VIRE has provided engineering, project management and administrative support for the Explosives Division (EXD). As part of the EXD team, we work with some of our nation’s top scientists to help develop technological advancements and innovative approaches in detection and countermeasures related to non-nuclear explosives. Our team helps support the development and implementation of critical new monitoring technologies and field equipment for use in our nation’s airports, helping secure this critical aspect of our nation’s infrastructure. Our administrative specialists exclusively support Director-level DHS leadership, and our Project Managers provide a broad array of guidance and support for technical and non-technical leaders throughout HSARPA. We’ve also helped facilitate discussions and open communication between DHS and international security leaders from other nations. VIRE has also developed and delivered training material, and supported the implementation of industry best practices and procedures throughout HSARPA.
